HCG Rapid Test

PocTell^® one step hCG Rapid Test (Urine) is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine to aid in the detection of pregnancy.

The membrane is pre-coated with HCG antibody on the test band region and Goat antibody on the control band region.

During testing, the urine sample reacts with the dye conjugate (HCG antibody colloidal gold conjugate) which has been pre-coated on the test device The mixture then migrates upward on the membrane chromatographically by capillary action to react with HCG antibody on the membrane and generate a red band. Presence of the red band indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result. Regardless of the presence of HCG, as the mixture continues to migrate across the membrane to the immobilized Goat antibody region, a red band at the control band region will always appear. The presence of this red band serves as verification for sufficient sample volume and proper flow and as a control for the reagents.

Bring tests, specimens and/or controls to room temperature (15-30°C) before use.

1.Remove the test device from the foil pouch and familiarize yourself with the product.

2.Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 2-3 drops of samples (about 80ul-120ul) to the specimen well (S) of the test device, and then begin timing. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well (S).

3.As the test begins work, you may notice a light colored flow moving across the test line region (T) and control line region (C) on the test device. Read the result at 5 minutes. Do not read the result after 10 minutes.
